Park Square Update
Things are bustling at FishHawk Ranch's Park Square retail center as nearly all of the businesses are open. The newest tenant announcement is the Bank of Tampa set to occupy the downstairs corner of the center.
According to Hyde Park Builders' Scott Shimberg, the location is less than 1,000 sq. ft. and will serve as a "boutique-style" banking center and feature a walk up ATM outside.
A 3,000 sq. ft. space, previously set aside for a day spa, is now available and Shimberg says that while a spa still makes an excellent fit, he also thinks it would be a perfect setting for a pediatric dentist or orthodontist.
Additionally, marketing is kicking off for the executive suites that are currently in the final planning stages with the county. Shimberg describes the spaces as ranging from 120 to more than 200 sq. ft. "They are perfect for those people working out of their spare bedroom who are looking to get their spare bedroom back." He expects the offices to be ready for occupancy by summer's end.
For leasing information, call 254-6765.

Maids to Order (MTO) of Hillsborough County is proud to introduce its new name, MTO® Cleaning Services and a new MTOclean logo to residential and commercial clients. The new brand image reflects the franchise's long history as Maids to Order (MTO), while emphasizing a focus on clean as offices across the country begin to expand their suite of services. Rebecca Williams, owner of the Hillsborough office, is now offering carpet, upholstery and drape cleaning services and welcomes the transition process for her business.
"We all love one-stop-shopping," states Williams. "The more services I can offer to my clients while I'm in their home or office, the easier I make their lives. And that's what this business is all about."
Most cleaning franchise systems focus solely on either residential or commercial markets, and on just one line of service. Along with carpet cleaning, MTO franchisees may also choose to offer wood and tile floor care services, air duct cleaning and power washing. Williams will capitalize on cross-selling opportunities by solving more of her existing clients' needs, while reaching new potential customers who may only be interested in carpet/upholstery cleaning services.
"We are still the personal touch people in all that we do, from our free in-person estimates and 100 percent satisfaction guarantee, to our policy of providing consistent service from a familiar face," says Williams. "Our staff is professionally trained, bonded and insured, and our customers always know who is in their home or office."
All MTO franchisees offering carpet cleaning services use the industry-leading Bane-Clene® Paramount system, a van-mounted unit that delivers superior cleaning performance with quick dry time. "If your carpet is on warranty, it probably requires cleaning with Bane-Clene equipment - it is simply the best. We'll also be able to provide stain/odor removal and Teflon® coating services, while cleaning drapes and upholstery items," explains Williams.
To learn more about MTO Cleaning Services of Hillsborough County's services, or to schedule your in-home estimate, please call Williams at 571-1993, send an email to hillsborough@mtoclean.com, or visit the company's website at http://hillsborough.mtoclean.com.

Gel-ee Beans Makes Haircuts Fun

DrumMagic Session Highlights Team
By Sharon Still
When Jana Broder arrived on the scene in Brandon a few years ago proclaiming to be the "Drum Lady," being accepted did not come as any easy task. Today, Broder, owner of Drum Magic, is sought after by Boys and Girls Clubs, churches, school systems, youth groups, hospitals, corporations and others to share her talents to create a team building experience that provides stress release, group interaction and more. As a result, in 2005, she earned the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce's Small Business of the Year award.
Broder travels around with her bright red trailer packed with African drums called Djembe visiting a variety of groups from senior citizens suffering from Alzheimer's disease to youth and teens dealing with anger management to corporations looking to improve employee interaction.
"It's all about messaging," she explains. "Don't talk for 30 minutes and use the drum to communicate."
As the drum circle facilitator, Broder creates a fun, engaging atmosphere where anyone, regardless of experience, physical abilities, age or talent can participate.
Recently, the staff at the Osprey Observer experienced a team building drumming session that won't soon be forgotten. “Drumming brings people together in a different level," Broder explains. "Everyone starts out on the same playing field and everyone thinks they can't do it."
"It was more fun than I thought it would be, it was a great team building experience and educational," remarked advertising representative Bonnie Tekampe. "I recommend it to all ages."
Office manager Michelle Colesanti added, "I found that drumming for 30 minutes was a wonderful stress release. Despite the busy day ahead of me, I felt very relaxed."
For more information about booking a drum circle, call 361-4667 or visit www.drummagic.net.
