Hospital Offers Help
Brandon Regional Hospital now offers a Pediatric Diabetes Support Group to assist families who have children who have been diagnosed as diabetics. The support group is designed for parents to attend with their child, and siblings are welcome.
The first meeting will be held on Thursday, June 28 from 6-7 p.m. in the hospital's Community Education Classroom B, Suite 260 in Oakfield Medical Plaza. The topic for the evening will be Hurricane Preparedness & Diabetes which will be presented by Pat Simmer, RN, CDE. There is no charge, but registration is requested and can be made by calling the hospital's Class Registration service at 1-888-327-2636.
Toastmasters Meet
The Valrico Toastmasters meet the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at the Campo Family YMCA at 7 p.m.

Couple's Class
The Birth of a Family is a faith based program offered through the Brandon Care Pregnancy Center for couples who are parents or expecting. The couples can be married or unmarried. In the class they will learn relationship and communicating skills with the goal of marriage so the child will be in a home with a mother and father. When the couples start the class, they are assigned an advocate couple to come along side them to be a model and support to them. We have so many couples who are ready to start the program. Veterans Meet
Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 787 meeting is held on the fourth Thursday of every month at the Brandon Veterans Hall at 115 Clay St. in Brandon at 7 p.m. All Vietnam and Vietnam ERA Veterans are welcome to join.

BNI Membership Drive
Success Express is a premiere chapter for Business Networking International (BNI), which is expanding our membership rolls. BNI is a referral network organization that passes qualified referrals to members. The group meets for breakfast every Tuesday morning and offer business development assistance.

Twirlers Meet
The Bay Area Twirlers Square/Round Dance Club meets every second and fourth Saturday night from 7-9:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. Every Thursday from 7-8:45 p.m. a workshop and lessons for intermediate dancers is offered. The cost is $4 for lessons and dances. Meetings take place at 502 Sadie Street in the Brandon Community Center.

Women Hold Teen Forum
The GFWC Brandon Jr. Woman's Club is holding it Annual Teen Forum Mini Summer Camp for girls ages 10-14 the week of June 18 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 818 Parsons Ave. in Brandon. During the week the girls may enjoy speakers/activities on dancing, skin care, fashion, health and nutrition, babysitting, hair and makeup, volunteering, crafts and more. Registration at the door is $80 if space is available.

The Family Support and Resource Center is having a picnic honoring the special men in their lives. It will be held at the Sadie Park on Kingsway Rd. from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Fathers' Day, June 17.
