Summerfield Hosts Holiday Gift Fair

By Jennifer Teuber

Make your list and check it twice, then go down to the Crafter's Holiday Market Open House on Saturday, December 8 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. This holiday event is free and open to the public.

This is the second annual open house; according to Tanya Killebrew, front desk manager of Summerfield Master Community Association. Last year, the event had 35 crafters and 200 or more people in attendance.

During the event, stop by the Summerfield Community Center located at 13011 Summerfield Blvd. in Riverview where 35 local crafters, artists and home-based businesses will be selling their crafts and gifts.

At the open house, crafters will have everything from homemade crafts, decorative candles and gifts for the home to Red Hat gifts and accessories, jewelry and Avon products.

According to Killebrew, holiday music and cookies will be available for people's entertainment while they walk around and shop.

Other crafters will sell items including Creative Memories, ceramics, children's books, gift baskets, holiday wreaths and floral arrangements, Mary Kay and Arbonne Skin Care products. Some will have wood work, Pampered Chef and so much more. "Gifts will range in price," says Killebrew.

Santa Claus arrives at noon.  Children can bring their wish lists and visit Santa until 1:30 p.m.

Local crafters who are interested in participating in this holiday event, can call 671-2005 to register.  For more information, contact Killebrew at 671-2005 or visit www.oursummerfield.org.
