CPK Donates to Foundation
The California Pizza Kitchen Restaurant at Westfield Brandon Mall presented $5,000 to the Greater Brandon Community Foundation last month.
Store Manager Kevin Jarvis organized the "Pizza Day" fundraiser to raise money for the Greater Brandon Foundation's charities and donated 100 percent of the dine-in pizza sales during the restaurant’s grand opening in October.
"It was a very pleasant surprise," Nymark said as she accepted the check placed in a pizza box from Jarvis. "We truly appreciate this wonderful gesture by the California Pizza Kitchen. The donation money will go to fund our charities."
Jarvis said they will do more for the foundation. "It's good to give back to the community and that feeling extends to the whole staff at the Westfield California Pizza Kitchen," Jarvis said.
The Greater Brandon Foundation, founded and established by Anne Nymark and Arlene Waldron in 2003, is a non-profit organization that raises funds for charities in the local community with a mission to improve the quality of life, to shape the future by creating public awareness, developing resources and supporting initiatives that address local needs.
