Ace Golf Summer Junior Golf Camp

Cost: Junior golfers of all skill levels, ages 5-17, can participate in Group Classes which costs $169 for one week and includes range balls, 12 hours of instruction and a nine hole play day. There is a minimum of four students with a maximum of 16 students per class.
Topics, covered by PGA member Tom Egan, will include full swing with irons, hybrids and woods, putting, pitching, chipping, sand play, hitting from the rough and the development of the pre-shot routine and golf course management.

Limona Village Chapel Children’s Center Now Enrolling

Cost: There is a $30 fee for registration, a $45 supply fee and $200 for the six-week camp (discounts are available for siblings).
Registration began in March for current LVC students and is now holding open enrollment. Children ages 2-Pre-K are welcome, but 2-year-olds must currently attend LVC.
The camp is held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. from June 17- July 24.
There are different themes every week including the beach, camping, July 4, the circus, Disney and the zoo.
Applications are now available in the Children’s Center office.
Music Showcase Holds Summer Camp 2008

Music Showcase offers Summer Camp programs for Rock Band, Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Group Guitar, Musical Theatre (three age groups, ages 4 and up), and Mini Musicians. It also offers one-day workshops such as Worship U, Pop Idol, acting/vocal, flute or cello. Take one or take them all.
The Musical Theatre offerings are as follows: Acting Up (ages 4-8), Annie or Aristocats; Junior Showcase Players (ages 8-13), High School Musical or Seussical; and Showcase Players (ages 13-18), TBA.

MOSI’s Summer Science Camp, now in its 28th year, creates enriching experiences that are fun and memorable. The quality and variety of science camps offered rank it among the top summer camp facilities in the country. Summer Camps at Lowry Park Zoo

This summer, Zoo School at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo will hold 100 week-long camps for students in K-8th grades. Kids can learn about nature, science and the animal kingdom while hiking through the zoo, exploring behind-the-scenes and cooling off in the zoo's water play areas. Adventure camps include animal encounters, keeper talks, educational shows, games, crafts and more.
Summer Camps 2008 begin on June 9 and conclude August 15.

Hit the Trails

Cost: The Summer Training- complete program- is $200 or $35 per week with a $50 deposit required before June 5.
The Running Clinic is $350 per individual, $300 before July 1 or $200 for one week with a $50 deposit required before July 1.
The Free Running Clinic is on May 31 at 9 a.m. at Hit the Trails. The clinic is for middle school students moving on to high school or new runners. It will teach them how to train for cross country and high school sports over the summer.
Summer Training is from June 9 - July 25 from 7-9 a.m. for ages 12-16. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, run meets will be offered from HTT. The Running Program will be supplied by Hit the Trails and a Newsome cross country/track runner will lead the runs. A standard waiver will need to be signed by a parent to participate.
A Running Clinic will be held July 28 - August 8 for ages 13 and up in Hawk Park FishHawk Phase 1. This will be a physically demanding clinic. Those 13 and older will learn how to run. Prepare yourself for cross country, soccer and football. It will teach you how to run fast, strong and build endurance. Each participant will receive a certificate of completion, personal evaluation and T-shirt at the end of the two week period.

Busch Gardens Adventure Camps

Summer Camp at Busch Gardens and Adventure Island is a time to make new friends of the four-legged and two-legged variety, come face-to-face with a giraffe, plunge down water slides, ride a dive coaster, and create lasting memories.
Busch Gardens offers Day Camps for preschool through eighth grade, including two camps at Adventure Island for fifth-eighth grade. Camps are offered weekly -August.

Summer Fun ... Creative Fun at Pottery Camp 2008

The Pottery Patch will be offering some really cool and creative classes over the summer just for the kids. Young artists, ages 7 and up, will enjoy spending time exploring and creating fun techniques while creating some really cool projects. The camps are geared toward creativity, individual expression and fun.The camp schedule includes a three day program focusing of the art of clay and hand building. The Pottery Patch will also offer one day projects that will include clay hand building, glass fusion and unique pottery painting techniques.

Theatre Arts and Dance Alliance (TADA)

Cost: The cost for the two-week workshop is $125. The cost for each four-week workshop is $250. TADA is offering $25 off if registration and payment is received by May 1.
Theatre Arts and Dance Alliance (TADA) will offer summer programs for children of all ages in dance, music and theatre. TADA hosts a program called Children’s Alliance for Summer Theatre (CAST). CAST will offer three workshops this summer: Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, Kids on June 18-28 from 1-4 p.m. for ages 5-11; Charlotte’s Webb on July 7-August 1 from 9 a.m. – 12 Noon for children ages 7-11; and Dear Edwina on July 14-August 8 from 1-4 p.m. for children ages 11-15.
Private lessons in piano, voice, guitar and violin will be available as well. Lessons are $20 per half an hour of instruction. Appointments can be made at the school.
Balletmania

Cost: The costs for these five-day camps range from $115-$140. The cost for individual classes is $60.
Balletmania will be offered at TADA again this summer for children ages 4-11. These camps are available during the daytime session and feature famous ballets such as The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Swan Lake and Don Quixote. These workshops are fun and the children will have a ballet class each day, make a craft related to their ballet, learn new things about music, nutrition, kinesiology and much more while learning to appreciate these famous ballets.
For working families, TADA will also have late afternoon and evening classes in dance, theatre and tumbling. This four-week workshop is July 7-August 1.

Gymnastics Summer Camp

Gymnastic Camps dates are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.- 12 Noon. Camp One is from July 7-11, Camp Two from July 14-18, Camp Three from July 21-25 and Camp Four from July 28-August 1.
There is limited enrollment of a maximum of 30 campers per session. The camps are for boys and girls ages 5 and up at all levels including Tots, 1, 2, Hot Shots, All Starts and Pre-Team.
Events will include Tumble Trac, stretching, games, exercise and Olympic Gymnastic events. Campers should bring a snack/drink or money for the snack bar. BSAC is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization located at 405 Beverly Blvd. in Brandon.
Sports Summer Camp

Sports Summer Camp hours are from June 5-August 15, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.- 6:30 p.m. The Camp is closed on July 4 for Independence Day.
The Camp will accept children who have completed grades K-8 and activities will include: swimming, soccer, basketball, diving, tennis, gymnastics, crafts, filed games, special events, field trips, sewing and much more! In addition, campers will attend professionally coached classes in: gymnastics, diving, tennis and swimming.
