“Through fellowship, we help each other reach our spiritual and financial goals by developing lifelong relationships that exemplify Christian practices, integrity and outreach for the community,” states Mary Owens, founding member of Christian Business Connections (CBC) which is hosting an upcoming Brandon Prayer Breakfast.

Being held at Bell Shoals Baptist Church, located at 2102 Bell Shoals Rd. in Brandon, on Monday, July 12, from 8-10 a.m., the breakfast, the 12th of its kind, is used as an effort to help spread the word about Christian Business Connections while also unifying business professionals and motivating them in their business practices under an umbrella of Christian fellowship. This is initiated over breakfast through networking and the testimony of a guest speaker, this one’s being Glenn S. Henderson, founder and CEO of AFC Worldwide Express, which is company that delves into worldwide transportation and logistics.

President Ryan Hughes says that attendees will be doused with “quality Christian testimony, ethical business practices and encouragement,” while Owens adds that participants will take away “inspiration and practical ways to live Christ in every part of your life.”

With these events being held three times a year, the latest breakfast drew nearly 100 guests, with 150 expected to attend July’s. Offered for the first time, pastors are able to attend the upcoming breakfast for free. “We are hopeful that by getting more pastors to attend, they will come to know CBC as a helpful group for persons in their church looking for encouragement in their businesses,” adds Hughes.

Those who are interested in attending can do so by purchasing tickets in advance for $10 or at the door for $15 (cash/check only). All business professionals are welcome to the event, sponsored by Moody Radio 91.1 FM.

“CBC members care about each other, pray for each others’ businesses, help each other grow and support each other in times of needs,” comments Owens, who is also the leader of the national expansion team, helping to grow the group worldwide. “Since my time at CBC, I have personally developed lifelong relationships, my faith has grown stronger, and I am a better steward of the blessings God has given me, including my business.”
