Chipotle Mexican Grill will open in Bloomingdale Square in October, joining Wal-Mart, Bealls and more.

If you love lip-smacking Mexican cuisine, you will be happy to know that Chipotle Mexican Grill is coming to a location near you.
The Chipotle Grill franchise spans across the United States and abroad, and is finally planning to open a new restaurant in Bloomingdale Square. Chipotle is now leasing the spot where the Latin Café used to be, and will be surrounded by retailers such as Wal-Mart, Bealls, Ace Hardware and Publix Super Market.


The2,650-sq.-ft. location, has yet to be decide seating capacity until renovations are complete. Regency Centers, the owner, operator and developer of shopping centers such as Bloomingdale Square, is leasing out the location. This will be the first Chipotle Grill to open in the greater Brandon area; currently, the closest Chipotle Grills in operation are situated in Tampa and Lakeland.
Boasting mouthwatering gourmet products such as the burrito, burrito bowl, soft and crispy tacos, guacamole and fresh salads, there is something for everyone at Chipotle who has a craving for classic Mexican food. Customers can order their items at the counter and watch as their food is prepared almost instantly before them in an open kitchen setting, comparable to the style of Moe’s Southwest Grill. All of the products served at Chipotle can be customized according to what the customer wants and are prepared with the freshest of ingredients.
The Chipotle Website prides its franchise in using naturally-raised meats and even incorporating organic produce to create its meals. There are also menu options for vegetarians and people with food allergies.

“We don’t have a manager yet, but we will start construction soon,” said Jodi Pecalt, the real estate manager of Chipotle Grills.
