Children of all ages will delight in the many holiday activities planned for the month of December at Center Place in Brandon.

Kick off the holiday season by attending one of the many beloved holiday themed activities at Center Place in Brandon this December. Dawn Galia, executive director for Center Place, said, “This community is so supportive of Center Place. Our December events are a way that Center Place can give back and say thank you.”
First up is Santa’s Holiday Workshop on Saturday, December 3, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Children ages 5 and up (accompanied by an adult) can participate in a variety of holiday projects such as cookie decorating, making an ornament and entering a coloring contest. Each child will also be able to visit with Santa. A bag lunch courtesy of Chick-fil-A at Lake Brandon Village will be provided.
Space is limited in Santa’s Workshop, so hurry and get your ticket. Admission is a new $10 toy, which must be given to Center Place prior to Saturday, December 3. No tickets will be available at the door. All toys will be donated to A Kid’s Place in Brandon.
On Wednesday, December 7, bring the whole family to Center Place for the 27th Annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree. Attendees will be entertained with performances by Kim Hall’s School of Dance, Tampa Bay Family Theatre, Music Showcase, Leonard’s Academy of Dance, the Brandon Ballet and the Ambassadors from Bloomingdale High School. Kids of all ages will be delighted with the arrival of Jolly Old St. Nick. This is a free event.
Next up is Pat’s Corner Holiday Open House on Thursday, December 8, from 4:30-8 p.m. This is your opportunity to get a little holiday shopping done. All items in the shop will be offered at a 25 percent discount.
On Friday, December 16, bring the whole family to Santa’s Holiday Revue presented by Stages Productions. This fast paced musical takes a fun and joyous ride around the world and introduces you to many different traditions and cultures. Galia said, “This is a wonderful holiday show for our families.” Tickets are $7 for non-members and $6 for members. The show begins at 7 p.m.
