Local author, Steve Vann has come up with a unique way to both teach and entertain children in his new book, Coloriddling Book, Sea Animals – Book I. This is the first book in a series of fun, creative ways for children to learn. The book contains a coloring pages, word scrambles, riddles, word searches and  crossword puzzles. The book teaches children about sea animals in a witty way and is the perfect companion for long car rides or times when kids have to sit still.
Vann is former military as well as a former defense attorney and has always been interested in writing.   Things came together when Vann met Dr. Charles Young at a networking meeting through BNI International. Young, who has published two books, was an inspiration in the creation of Vann’s book. Young was also influential in Vann opening himself up to  a relationship with God. Vann said that as soon as he opened his heart to God, the idea for Coloriddling came and everything started to fall into place. He is passionate about his work on the book as well as his love for God.
Vann is using his book series to help the community as well. His goal is to find corporate sponsors to partner with him that would enable him to donate copies of the books to local schools and charities. Vann has recently partnered with Dr. Chad Polley of Polley Family Wellness Center in Brandon to donate 500 books to various charities.
“This is an example of how small business can sponsor books to get out there in the community”, said Vann. In addition, a portion of the profits from the sale will go to childrens’ charities as well as the Wounded Warrior Project.
Coloriddling Book, Sea Animals –  Book I can be purchased at www.coloriddling.com. Look for the next books in the series:  Zoo Animals – Book 2, Hand Tools – Book 3 and  Insects – Book 4. Some of his books will also be for sale as selected local area attractions.
