The 2012 Florida Strawberry Festival Fine Art Show will run from Thursday, March 1 to Sunday, March 11 at the Festival Grounds in Plant City.

Bryant said, “We are working to create a better show for all this year with clarifications on professional versus amateur and unifying the youth division for a cleaner, more professional look.” Bryant added, “Even though this is a local venue, your art will be viewed by people visiting the Strawberry Festival from all over the world.” Bryant further said, “This is a great arts community. All artists are encouraged to participate in 2012 Florida Strawberry Festival Fine Art Show.”

The artwork which is accepted into the show will be judged by two local art professionals. Prizes, totaling $1,500 and ribbons will be awarded.

There are five main categories: Adult Professionals; Adult Amateurs; Adult Miniature Art; Adult Sculpture; and Youth. Within these main categories, there are also subcategories for the type of media used, so any artist can enter this fine arts show. For purposes of the show, a professional is defined as someone who produces art on an advanced level as a result of training or experience or one who teaches classes or who relies on art related revenue as a substantial source of income.
