Owners of Fitness Worx 24/7 welcome people to tour their 5,000-sq.-ft. fitness facility located in the River Springs Plaza on FishHawk Blvd. and Boyette Rd. next to Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse.

FishHawk resident Jim English has worked in fitness gyms for more than 40 years. Working in the health and wellness industry and opening big box gyms, including Lifestyle Family Fitness and LA Fitness in Florida, Sportclub LA in California and International Health Club in Oklahoma gave Jim the experience to see what it takes to make people enjoy their work out. Pair that with people skills and a genuine joy in seeing people set and reach their goals have set the owners apart at Fitness Worx 24/7, located next to Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse in the River Springs Plaza.

Before purchasing what used to be an Anytime Fitness, there were few members and very little staff on-site. Since the change, Jim and his wife, Maryam, along with additional trainers and fitness professionals, are seldom absent from the business and are constantly training clients, signing up new members and showing new athletes how to use the equipment.

The couple has quadrupled the membership to more than 1,000 members and is proud of the achievement of their business in such a short time. They credit the success to their passion and drive for fitness and their relationship with their clients.

“We just love to work with people,” said Jim, who started in the fitness industry in 1980 working at American Fitness Center at the corner of Oakfield and Kings Ave., now Lifestyle Family Fitness. “When someone joins, they aren’t just getting a key to enter the facility, they are getting a program to help them reach their goals.”

Entering the 5,000-sq.-ft.  gym, athletes will find all the standard fitness requirements including a cardio studio, full weight room equipment and towels. Showers are also available.

“The 24-hour access has been very attractive for our military and first responder community,” said Jim. “In addition, we have partnered with the Newsome football team to give the athletes membership to give the team additional opportunities for training.”

With a monthly fee of $20 and no contract, Fitness Worx 24/7 continues its service to the community by offering a free parking lot boot camp each Saturday at 9 a.m. for free.

Fitness Worx 24/7 is open all day, every day. Stop by for a free tour at 13432 Boyette Rd. in Riverview. Call 381-3903, e-mail myfitnessworx@yahoo.com or visit www.fishhawkfitness.com.
