Come out and be a part of the fun and help raise funds for Center Place at the same time at their 28th Annual Arts Gala set for Saturday, April 28 at the T Pepin Hospitality Ballroom in Tampa.

On Saturday, April 28, Center Place will hold its 28th Annual Arts Gala Celebration. This year’s theme is “Art Rocks!” The annual event will take place at T Pepin Hospitality Ballroom located at 4121 N. 50th St. in Tampa at 7 p.m.

Center Place is mixing things up a little and making this a more relaxed affair. Come out and wear a concert t-shirt and jeans to this year’s event. Dawn Galia, executive director for Center Place said, “We always try to mix things up. So many people have to dress up for their jobs, and we thought it would be fun to have a gala where everyone could relax and wear a concert t-shirt and jeans.”

Galia added, “The ‘Art Rocks!’ logo was developed for our children’s summer t-shirts by my daughter Dianna. We then used it for a cover for one of our grants. The grant was being passed around the boardrooms and Diana Hagemann said, ‘That would make a great gala theme, so that was it!”

Tickets are $100 per person. Table sponsors are available beginning at $1,000. Table sponsors receive preferred seating for eight, signage, one half page ad, name on the sponsors’ billboard, listing on Center Place’s website, entrance to the VIP reception (beginning at 6 p.m.) and a one time 25 percent room rental.

During the evening, attendees will dine on delicious delectable’s provided by Puff and Stuff Catering and a full premium bar. There will be rock and roll music provided by Craig Hartsfield from Salerno Entertainment, a silent and live auction. Some of the items you can bid on this year include Southwest Airlines tickets, Disney tickets, car for a weekend courtesy of Tampa Jaguar, Tampa Bay Rays package and much more.

All funds raised from this event go towards providing consistent and quality programming including children’s programs, theatre, art workshops, art shows and receptions.

Center Place is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit which was established in 1976. Center Place serves more than 50,000 people each year. The Annual Arts Gala is their largest fundraiser. Without the support of the community, Center Place could not continue to provide quality programs including live children’s theatre.
