Cindy Short is the owner of Esthetic Escapes located at Studio 22 in Valrico. She has been a skin care professional for more than 20 years.

Leonardo DaVinci once said, “Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for when you come back to your work, your judgment will be surer.” Cindy Short, of Esthetic Escapes located at Studio 22 in Valrico, believes in a similar philosophy.

“I am a firm believer that if you relax, it will help your mind, body and soul,” Short said. She has been a skin care professional for more than 20 years. Her experience ranges from make-up application to advanced relaxation techniques. She also strives to bring her clientele the latest and most innovative skin care applications.

“I carry several product lines because there is not just one product line that fits for everyone’s skin situation,” Short said, “I feel that you need something for everybody.”

Some of the product lines she carries include, Skin Again, PCA Skin and Epicuren. The Epicuren line is from California; it promotes anti-aging in an organic and holistic way. Short said that many of Hollywood’s elite stars are using the Epicuren line.

“My whole thing is that is has to work,” Short said, “If it doesn’t work, I’m not going to have the product line in the spa.”
Short offers a program called the Spa Elite Facial Club. How it works is clients prepay for a year of facials at a flat rate of $60 per facial and they qualify for free upgrades every month and many other perks throughout the year. She even has a flex-payment option where you can make three consecutive monthly payments instead of paying the whole amount up front.

In addition to facials, Short offers hot stone body butter wrap and it is becoming her most popular service. The service starts off by dry brushing the torso and legs, followed by a warm oil treatment and hot stones. Body butter is applied to the hands and feet. The body is then wrapped in a thermal blanket to infuse the heat and oil, which allows the body to absorb the minerals, moisture and radiant heat.

“I would like to take you away from all your stress when you have a treatment,” Short said.
