A FishHawk resident of 14 years and licensed realtor, Dawn Turner has joined the sales team at Signature Realty Associates.

Turner, a Florida native who grew up in Winter Haven, was involved in many community groups prior to focusing on real estate, including volunteering with FishHawk Area Networking Group (FANG), helping coordinate the very first Back-to-School Festival. Her success in that organization spawned an offer to be the community’s activities director, working major community events and planning the grand openings of the Aquatic Club, Palmetto Club and Park Square. Turner and her team worked to serve the needs of the families in FishHawk, establishing the beginnings of the social fabric of the community. In 2006, she was asked to step into the role of marketing manager of FishHawk Ranch by Newland Communities.

It was in that position, seeing the number of new home sales that came across her desk each week, that she realized she was on the wrong side of those home sales.

“I realized that I had a great foundation for embarking on this business,” she said. “I can provide guidance and opinion, but also hard facts about market conditions that can empower buyers and sellers to make educated decisions.”

Turner holds a B.A. in public relations/marketing from the University of Alabama. Her experience in marketing under the guidance of the top-selling master-planned community developer in the nation provided the springboard and confidence that she needed to make the career change. She also has solid foundation at home.

“Having a loving and supportive husband who wanted me to do this for several years prior to me making the decision also helped me make the transition,” she said “I offer relentless service at any time.”

Part of Turner’s service includes helping families make the right move through knowledge and empowerment. Sometimes selling is not the answer. “I’ve talked some families out of listing their homes, simply because it was not the right move for them,” she said.
