Four Paws Veterinary Hospital and Joia Fabulous Pizza and Martini Bar have teamed up to host the Second Annual Horse-ology Happy Hour on Thursday, November 29 from 6-9 p.m. at Joia in the courtyard.

Like last year, this years’ event will benefit RVR Horse Rescue. RVR Horse Rescue’s mission is to intervene, rescue, rehabilitate and provide sanctuary for neglected, abused, abandoned and traumatized horses. The organizations goal is to take the animals out of bad situations and find them loving homes.

“Last year I found this rescue to be local and very much in need for our community,” said Dr. Kimberly Tyson, veterinarian at Four Paws. “I felt that they deserve to have an event every year.”

At last years’ Horse-ology Happy Hour there were five horses that attended and were able to be petted by those who attended the happy hour. “One of the horses will be returning this year, Aces, and he will count your age with his hoof for a donation and people can take pictures,” said Tyson. Horses can also be petted and fed under supervision of their handlers.

This years’ happy hour will also include a 50/50 raffle and raffles prizes as well as donations jars. Two-for-one martinis and pizza samples will also be available. Those interested in attending will are encouraged to wear Western gear for the event.
