Boulevard Salon has been a part of the Brandon community since 2009. Their goal is to redefine the salon experience for their clients and build a relationship with them through quality craftsmanship and personal relations. “We offer the most current and innovative hair, nail, skin care and massage service,” said salon owner, Kathy Hegenauer. The salon also offers permanent make-up and body waxing, as well as a vast array of jewelry and clothing accessories that is unique to the Brandon area.

Hegenauer opened the salon because she wanted a place that felt like home for her clients. “I wanted a place where you always see a smiling face and a welcoming friend,” Hegenauer said. The clients that come to the salon are like family to Hegenauer and her staff. They know times are tough with the current state of the economy, so they try to do what they can to help them. “We have close relationships with our clients and we try to offer subtle discounts on services when we are aware of particular hardships,” Hegenauer said. The salon also gives back to the Brandon community. They have made donations to Operation Kidney, the Nativity Novemberfest Run and to the Women’s Resource Center.

The salon is currently taking donations of gently used business clothing, bus passes, gift cards to local grocery stores and non-perishable food items, which they will be donating to the Women’s Resource Center. They have also adopted a family for Christmas this year.

It is easy to see why the salon has been nominated three times for The Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award, and Hegenauer and her staff is thrilled that they are able to do so much for their clients and the Brandon community. “We do the things we are supposed to do and we do them well,” Hegenauer said, “At the end of the day, we ask ourselves, what is one more thing we can do for our clients or the community.”  If you would like to find our more about the services offered at Boulevard Salon, you can visit them on the web at www.boulevardsalon.biz or call them at 571-5800.
