Brandon Regional Hospital and New Life Tabernacle’s family of churches are collaborating to present a series of lectures on healthy living. The lectures are designed for everyone. So if you are a man or woman, single, married or divorced, this lecture series is for you. There will be lectures and activities that are perfect for parents and children.

The series is open to members of the public. “We are so excited about this new collaboration between New Life Tabernacle UPC and Brandon Regional Hospital. This series of programs will have a tremendous impact on the health of our community and church by providing resources and encouragement to all who want to begin a complete transformation of their lives in 2013,” said Cyvonne Davy, wife of Pastor Daniel Davy.

Brandon Regional Hospital board certified physicians and practitioners will present lectures on various topics that will help those who attend improve and correct issues that can be detrimental to overall health of mind and body.

The lectures will be held at New Life Tabernacle UPC located at 6912 Williams Rd. in Seffner. The first lecture is scheduled for Thursday, January 10 at 7 p.m. in main sanctuary.

The evening’s program will consist of three separate programs including Healthy Eating 2013 & Beyond presented by Susan Alverio, a Registered Dietician at Brandon Regional Hospital; Children & Adults Ear Nose and Throat Conditions and Treatments presented by Dr. Scott Powell of the Sinus Center at Brandon Regional Hospital; and Managing Stress and Depression presented by Jerry Murphy, Director of Behavioral Health at Brandon Regional Hospital.

The health lectures serve as a doorway for member of the church and community to access health information and make informed decisions to improve their lives,” said Patty Montgomery, Director of Public Relations at Brandon Regional Hospital.

Admission to the lectures is free, but seating is limited, so reservations are required.
