At last month’s Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce’s New Teacher Appreciation Breakfast, four charming girls, dressed in white, walked slowly up to the podium to sing The National Anthem in front of more than 200 people.  The crowd expected the usual rendition by the girls with a few missed cues or an off-key note here and there.  What they got was an amazing and beautiful a capella version by 4Heart Harmony.

The girls are TayLyn Olney, 13, who attends Mulrennan Middle School; Kassidy Gavagan, 12, who attends Burns Middle School; Shelby O’Brien, 13, who attends Randall Middle School; and Kelly Coultas, 14, who attends Newsome High School.  Two of the girls have been best friends forever, but now they’re all best friends. They have only been singing for one year, practicing once a week. Some have done Community Theater and all attend Patel Conservatory at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts.

4Heart Harmony has performed at the Strawberry Festival, Novemberfest, parties, Christian events and most recently have been accepted to sing The National Anthem at one of the Tampa Bay Ray’s games.  Mom, Jennifer Cassidy said, “We couldn’t be more proud of them. This is their passion, they have fun and they want to go as far as they can with it.”

Recently, the girls had the opportunity to record their music at Full Sail University in Orlando, a school where people from around the world come to pursue their passion for careers in the entertainment and media industry. They worked hard on three songs that are posted to their YouTube account, Blown Away by Carrie Underwood; Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey; and No One by Alisha Keys.  They had a blast, and as you can tell from the picture above, still managed to be a little ‘goofy’.

Visit their Facebook page at 4Heart Harmony to follow some of the links to their YouTube performances and be sure to “like” them.

These girls will succeed because of their passion and great support-system with their moms and families and friends.
