Test your luck at the Seffner Relay for Life Team’s Casino Night at The Regent on Thursday, October 3 from 7 to 10 p.m. The Regent is located at 6437 Watson Rd. in Riverview. All money raised at this event benefit the American Cancer Society’s local efforts.
Tickets for Casino Night are $25 for advance purchase and $30 at the door. Sponsorships are available for as little as $100.
Throughout the night, you will have the opportunity to buy additional chips, 50/50 drawing tickets, and bid on silent and live auction items. Delaney Creek Lodge’s Chef, Phil Zelstar, is putting together a delectable array of hors d’oeurvres and desserts. Entertainment provided by DJ Ray Roel.
Professional dealers at the event will deal blackjack, poker, roulette, craps and wheel of fortune. Play to win tickets to win door prizes!
The fundraiser is for all Seffner Relay for Life teams. The current teams include Delaney Creek Lodge, Lucas Family and Friends and Top Gun. All Seffner Relay for Life Teams are invited to participate.
According to Jennifer Weil, Accounting Chair for the Seffner Relay for Life Team and Mortgage Consultant with Wells Fargo, “The purpose of the event is to raise money for the Seffner Relay for Life. All money raised will be used to provide support and care for those fighting cancer and for survivors in our community.”
It seems that everyone has been affected in some way by cancer. Sue Smith, the Director of Delaney Creek Lodge, is a cancer survivor as are many of her co-workers and residents at Delaney Creek Lodge. This will be the sixth year that Delaney Creek Lodge has been an integral part of the Seffner Relay for Life Team.
So come out and test your luck, have some fun and know that all of the money you spend at this event will help local individuals battling cancer and survivors of cancer. Weil said, “I am involved because of the personal experiences that I have had and my belief in the community taking care of the community. If we can help raise money to support the families going through this and the loved ones left behind, I think it is the least we can do.”
