Beaux Arts Gallery in the Winthrop Town Centre in Riverview has issued a Call to All Student Artists for its 3rd Annual “Small Works” Art Show. The juried art show will be on exhibit during the month of December.

Winthrop Town artist, Bryant Martinez said, “I absolutely love this event. When children get involved in the arts, they add an immeasurable amount of goodwill to the community.” “I also love having a conversation with a young artist. It feels like I am talking to a fellow artist,” added Martinez.

Artwork must meet specific criteria. The artwork must be based on the style of Marc Chagall. It must be original and created solely by the artist. Any medium is accepted. Artwork must be on 8 1/2 x 11 paper which will be cropped to 8 x 10. Each artwork will be provided with an 11 x 14 mat and hanger upon entry. NO framed artwork or work on canvas will be accepted. Please contact Debra Bryant at beauxarts11252@gmail.com for submission entry deadline.

Submitted entries will be put through the jury process. Prizes and ribbons will be awarded for Best in Show plus first, second and third places along with three honorable mentions.

While there is no entry fee, all art must be for sale and priced at $100.00 with $20.00 of the sale price going to Beaux Arts Gallery for sponsorship of other youth art projects in the community. There will be an Artists’ Reception and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. The students’ artwork can be purchased on opening night.

The 3rd Annual “Small Works” Art Show is a perfect opportunity for young and inspiring artists to showcase their work in the greater Brandon area.
