The SouthShore Chamber of Commerce wants local artists, both amateurs and professionals, to submit an original design and compete in the 22nd Annual Manatee Festival of the Arts Logo and T-shirt Competition.

Amateurs and professionals are on the same playing level. Artists, regardless of age, are invited to submit an entry. Your original design could be the winning one. There are no specific guidelines for the subject matter. Judges will select the winning design based on artistic merit.

Artists are asked to submit their original design to the SouthShore Chamber of Commerce no later than Friday, January 3.

All images must be two dimensional and be an original work of art created within the last three years. Digital image reproduction must be submitted on no less than 180 DPI and no less than 1200 pixels one way. The winner will be required to submit a higher resolution image for print.

The winner will be announced on or before Saturday, January 10 by the SouthShore Chamber of Commerce. The artist who submits the winning design will receive $100 cash prize, publicity for and about their design and a complimentary booth space at the festival.

Melanie Morrison, Executive Director of the SouthShore Chamber of Commerce said, “We are excited to celebrate the 22nd year of the Manatee Festival of the Arts here in our community.”

The Manatee Festival of the Arts is set to take place on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9 at the TECO SouthShore Community Event Center located at 302 Noonan Beach Rd. in Apollo Beach. The festival is a nationally recognized juried art show.
