New Venue for FishHawk Riverview Rotary Fourth Annual Crawfish Festival
The Rotary Club of FishHawk Riverview’s Crawfish Festival has set the date and a new venue for this year. The Fourth Annual Crawfish Festival will be held on Saturday, May 31 from 12-4 p.m. at the Winthrop Pole Barn area on Bloomingdale Ave. in Riverview. Purchase crawfish meal tickets before the Thursday, May 15 cutoff for $15. This will include about 2-3 lbs. of crawfish with the fixings (corn and potatoes). A Crawfish Masquerade Ball leading up to this event that will take place at the Palmetto Club in FishHawk Ranch on Friday, April 4. How to Save a Choking Customer
HealthSource of Brandon, located at 166 E. Bloomingdale Ave. in Brandon will soon begin educating local restaurant workers on how to react if a customer is choking on food. Brandon chiropractor, Dr. Chad F. Polley said that the training was important even though Florida, unlike other states, does not require restaurants to provide it.
Dr. Polley is taking time from his practice to go into local restaurants in a couple of weeks to teach employees how to properly execute the Heimlich maneuver. He would also provide the businesses with posters that detail the technique.

Wok Chi Stirs Up Over $2,600 For ECHO
Wok Chi, the fresh casual Chinese restaurant, located in Regency Square at 2420 W. Brandon Blvd. in Brandon, raised over $2,600 to benefit the Emergency Care Help Organization of Brandon (ECHO).
