Brandon Eye Associates has been a part of the Brandon community for more than 29 years. The company thinks being a part of the community is paramount. The practice believes offering state-of-the-art care to patients, along with giving back to the community is its secret to longevity. It has always focused on providing the finest total eye care available for every patient. In addition to some of the area’s most respected board certified doctors, the practice has a complete on-sight optical shop and will soon be offering a med spa as well.

Michelle Fleshner is the practice administrator at Brandon Eye Associates and she has been with them for the last three years, but she has been working in ophthalmology for 21 years. She loves being part of a practice that is growing. Brandon Eye Associates has joined forces with Dr. Teo Kulyk of Plant City. He has been the premier provider of ophthalmic services in Plant City for more than 30 years.

“Dr. Kulyk has a wonderful practice with a great staff and a strong patient following,” Fleshner said. “We realized that he was a doctor that had the same philosophy we do, which is to provide the best care possible for the patient. It sounds like a simple philosophy, but it is a driving philosophy because everything we do is centered on patient care.”

The doctors and staff at both practices treat every patient as if they are treating their own family members.

Merging the two practices allows the doctors to spend more time with patients and less time with administrative work.

“Dr. Kulyk will still be practicing out of the Plant City office,” Fleshner said. “Dr. Honickman, our retina specialist, is currently seeing patients in Plant City on Friday afternoons and he increased his time with us from three days a week to five days a week.”

In January of 2015, Dr. Honickman will add Monday afternoons to offer the Plant City patients more scheduling flexibility.
