Christ Community Church will be offering Vacation Bible School beginning Friday, July 25 through Sunday, July 27. The fun begins on Friday night from 6:30–9:30 p.m. with dinner included. On Saturday, studies will resume from 3–5:30 p.m. with dinner and a movie to follow. The weekend concludes on Sunday morning with a VBS presentation and a brunch after the 10:15 a.m. worship service. The winner will hold the title of Honorary Mayor of Riverview from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015 and will also be appointed to the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for the same period of time. Good Samaritan Mission will hold its annual Back to School Outreach on Saturday, August 9 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to help families get ready for the new school year.

It is now collecting school supplies and hopes to help with the class room supply lists children are expected to bring in. Volunteers are needed, especially bilingual folks, to help for the day. Volunteers are asked to come by 9 a.m. and stay until 3 p.m. doing shifts as necessary. There is a specific need for folks to do haircuts and manicures for young girls.
