Free Yoga In The Park For Bloomingdale East Residents

Bloomingdale residents are being offered free yoga classes every Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Somerset/Bloomingdale Cove, a private park at the end of Culbreath Rd. Classes will be held by certified yoga instructor and Bloomingdale resident Dina White. She is certified through Yoga Loft, a Yoga Alliance-credited school, and is offering these free classes as a way to pay it forward and to help people change their lives.

The classes are open to any resident with or without experience, and White’s yogi’s range in age from 15 to 60 plus years old. Different variations and modifications can be made for each student individually. Mats are provided for students, but White recommends that residents bring sunscreen, bug spray and plenty of water. Fall Festival Planning Has Begun

Bloomingdale’s Fall Festival planning has already begun. The festival will take place on Saturday, October 25 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Bloomingdale Golfers Club. This is a community event and will have activities for all ages. There will be a visit from the Tampa Bay Lightning Bug, a Halloween Pet Costume Contest and more.

New Board Member Certification Training For All HOA Members

Neighborhood Relations Hillsborough County is holding DBPR approved certification requirement course on Thursday, August 7 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 23 from 9-11 a.m.

All newly elected members of a homeowners association’s board of directors must be certified, pursuant to Section 720.3033(1) FL. This course is optional and is in lieu of certifying in writing.

The courses will take place at Hillsborough County Center at 601 E. Kennedy Blvd., 26th Floor, in Tampa.
