The Brandon Ballet, a professional ballet company, will hold its annual auditions looking for company dancers (both training and professional), and Nutcracker extras for the 2014-2015 performing season.

For the Training Dancer Company Audition, the Brandon Ballet is looking for dancers from the Tampa Bay community ages 9 and older, with at least three years of classical ballet training. The audition will be held on Saturday, August 16 from 9:30-11 a.m. for dancers not on pointe or pointe 1 (9 years old and up); 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m. for second year pointe (10 years old and up); and 1-3 p.m. for third year pointe (11 years old and up).

The Professional Dancer Company Audition will be held on Saturday, August 23 from 2-3:30 p.m. for professional dancers ages 17 and up.

The Brandon Ballet is looking for dancers from the Tampa Bay area ages 7 and older for the casting of Little Rats, Soldiers, Angels, Party Boys and Party Scene Adults for their annual production of the Nutcracker. The auditions will be held on Saturday, August 23 from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

This is the 21st anniversary of the Brandon Ballet. According to Octavio Martin, Artistic Director, “The Brandon Ballet provides exposure to the professional ballet world for pre-professional and professional dancers through working with esteemed guest artists, offering a superior Pre-Professional Training Program, performing in two major productions and Mixed Repertory performances, as well as scholarship opportunities.”
