On Monday, August 11th the Humana Communities Benefit Community Vote will officially launch on HumanaHCBvote.com. Voting will be going on until Friday, August 22nd. For two weeks, the general public will be able to vote for the Tampa Bay nonprofit – Pinellas Education Foundation, Starting Right, Now, and Sunrise at Pasco –they believe is most deserving of the $350,000 Humana Communities Benefit grant.

The winner will use the grant to either create a new program or enhance an ongoing activity that has had a positive, transformational impact on the organization and the Tampa Bay community. In order to cast the vote, the public will be able to log onto the website and review a brief summary and video that each nonprofit submitted. The community participation will account for 20 percent of the nonprofit’s total score during the final round of judging, which will occur later this month.
