DETAILS:  This $5 Day will celebrate National Museum Day and Safety Saturday.  Families can experience a unique performance on a 3D printed violin, learn how to stay safe at home and on the go with the help of St. Joseph’s Advocacy Center, City of Tampa and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue. Children can learn how to be safe while biking, swimming, exercising and more.

 

Additionally, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and MOSI will hold their National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. This important event will give the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.  This will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

 

MOSI hosts several $5 Days each year to allow community members of all incomes access to MOSI exhibit galleries, including 3D Printing the Future: the ExhibitionThe Amazing You exhibition, Kids In Charge!, the largest children’s science center in the nation, and more than 450 hands-on, interactive exhibits.
