Apollo Beach restaurants that will participate in the community’s first Grub Crawl are gearing up to make it a fun evening for diners on Tuesday, November 18.

“Grub Crawlers can sample food from Circles, Ricky’s, Apollo’s Bistro, Oasis and more,” said Janet Wright, president of Wright Events and organizer of the event.

The ultimate progressive dinner works like this:  all registrants will be assigned to meet at one of the participating restaurants at 6 p.m. to pick up an official Grub Crawl T-shirt, which serves as their ticket for the evening. There, they will sample free food, order drinks if desired, and enjoy entertainment, where available.

When they choose to move on, they will catch one of the roving shuttles for the next restaurant. The event ends at 10 p.m. with shuttles returning diners to where they started.

“We wanted to do something fun and enjoyable for the community,” said Wright. “We have been involved in similar events in other parts of the country and they were lots of fun. Our plan is to make this an annual event.”

To register, e-mail info@wrightevents.org or visit grubcrawl.eventzilla.net. Advanced tickets are required to participate. Until Tuesday, November 11, tickets are $25, which includes the T-shirt, food and shuttle. A 20 percent discount is available for groups of six or more. Any remaining tickets will be sold after that until Friday, November 14 for $30.
