Since Teacher’s Helper opened in 1984, it has been a resource center for school supplies and classroom materials for both parents and teachers alike. No other local business offers the great choice of teaching tools and learning supplies.

Customers include parents who help their young students with extracurricular activities by purchasing fun workbooks, stickers, puzzles, flash cards, and games. Teachers, principals, and preschool administrators also purchase these items, along with decorations to use in their classrooms.

TeacherstoreBack in 2005, Shearon Bailey went to Teacher’s Helper to purchase stickers for her granddaughter. Noticing a “help wanted” sign, Bailey inquired about a position.

Thinking back on that fateful visit, Bailey remarked, “Instead of a job, I got a store.”

Although Teacher’s Helper celebrates over 30 years of business, July marks the 10-year anniversary of Bailey’s ownership of Teacher’s Helper. In that time, she has successfully expanded her business to include the convenience of ordering supplies online for delivery right to a customer’s door.

“We special order for customers every week and try to help the customer in every way to get the items they are searching for,” Bailey said.

Teacher’s Helper has been a finalist for Small Business of the Year for the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce three times. Its personal service for the individual customer is what sets Teacher’s Helper apart from large retail centers.
