The Tampa Bay Theatre Festival (TBTF) will present its second annual event to be held on Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6. The festival will take place at multiple locations throughout Tampa including the Straz Center For The Performing Arts (1010 N. Macinnes Pl. in Tampa), Hillsborough Community College Ybor City Campus Main Stage Theatre (1304 E. 11th Ave. in Tampa) and Stageworks Theatre (1120 Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa).

The festival will feature workshops, six full length plays and two short play competitions. Tickets to the three day festival range from $10 for the workshops (except the Harry Lennix Masters Acting Workshop which is $60) to a weekend pass for $45. This year’s event will host an abundance of exciting and educational workshops led by some of the industry’s best acting instructors. Celebrity guests such as Blacklist star Harry Lennix will lead workshops. There will be networking events, competitions, full length plays and an awards party.

“You don’t have to be an actor to take part in these activities,” said Rory Lawrence, founder of the TBTF. “This event will offer many things that both actors and non-actors will be able to enjoy, so I encourage everyone in the community who is a fan of theatre and the arts to come out and experience this weekend.”

Approximately over 1,300 people from all over the state of Florida attended the first annual TBTF in 2014. Organizers for this year’s event projects to bring in even more in attendance.

The Tampa Bay Theatre Festival (TBTF) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit theatre company.
