Even though it may not feel like fall, the holiday season is starting to kick into full swing. Creations by Nora has been a part of the Brandon community for more than 31 years. Ever since Nora Gray opened her floral design business all those years ago, she has hosted her Christmas Open House.
“The Christmas Open House is spectacular with the feeling of Christmas everywhere one looks,” said Karen Wilkenson of Creations by Nora.
“There are life-size Santa Claus’s, elves, unique trees and one of a kind ornaments as well as hand-crafted wreaths, garlands and swags designed by Nora.” The shop also carries a variety of gift items.
The Christmas Open House will be held on Tuesday, October 13, Thursday, October 15 and Saturday, October 17 from 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Gray makes all the decorations available at the open house in addition to the decorated Christmas trees.
“She makes everything that is floral and she even goes out into the community to decorate client’s homes for Christmas,” Wilkenson said.
Gray runs the floral business from her home, but her home is a showroom as well. Creations by Nora offers floral arrangements in every size, price range and style. Be it elegant chic, tropical paradise, or tastefully traditional, Gray can accommodate your sense of style. She also offers a full assortment of artwork, accessories, and many other items to complete home decor.
Gray enlists the help of many volunteers each year to help her make the Christmas Open House a huge success and a kick off to the holiday season.
“Our hope for the Christmas Open House is that people of all ages will walk in and feel they have entered a winter wonderland, stroll through the shop and leave with the spirit of the season,” Wilkerson said.
Creations by Nora also hosts a Spring Open House just before the Easter holiday each year. Gray is available by appointments to customize homes or businesses with beautiful artwork, floral designs, trees, ledge greeneries and accessories.
