A local environmentally friendly pet store celebrates its one year anniversary this year. Chris Klecic and his father-in-law Mark Renfrow have a passion for animals and have always wanted to open a pet store. One year ago, they founded Earthwise Pet which has an eco-friendly approach to business practices, products and grooming.

The store will host a One Year Blowout Anniversary Party for the community on Saturday, November 14 at the Lithia Crossing Shopping Center from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

“From FishHawk to Valrico, this community has welcomed and supported us,” said Klecic. “We want to have a day where we say thank you.”

The day will include store discounts, vendors, raffles and an adoption event by Bailey’s Way. YoYo Juice will provide food and smoothies, and prizes will include a free fishing charter from Red Devil Fishing Charters.

Earthwise meets every dog and cat need under one roof, including grooming, self-wash and supply. This store, with its all-natural, holistic approach, is open seven days a week and houses six friendly and knowledgeable employees. Customers may join a rewards program in order to get money back for spending.

“Being able to provide amazing customer service, meet new people and make a positive impact in their pet’s lives really inspires our entire family to do this,” said Klecic. “Our family values our guests more than they will ever know.”

Klecic and his store frequently participate in community events such as rescue work and networking. It will also serve as a main sponsor for the Bloomingdale Fall Festival.

“We want to help strengthen our community and we love working with local schools, businesses, churches and networking groups. When you get out and build relationships, this community will support you,” said Klecic. “This community doesn’t get enough credit for the support it shows small business owners.”
