Searching for that gourmet coffee experience, but do not feel like traveling far? Owners Jason and Emily Smith from Foundation Coffee Co. in Riverview can solve that problem for many coffee drinkers in the area.

Foundation Coffee Co. is new to the Riverview area and has been open since October of last year. This coffee shop is different from most because it is an actual modernized custom built trailer from a company in Chicago.

The black and shiny trailer has a lot of flexibility because it can be moved around and has a drive-thru.

The trailer is placed on an outdoor patio, which has lighting, free Wi-Fi, a fire pit, couches, tables and chairs that can seat comfortably 25 customers. Also, the décor of the coffee shop is very simple and clean.

“My husband Jason owns Outdoor Impressions and he helped develop this beautiful space for our business,” said Emily.FoundationCOFFEE

The talented baristas work inside the customized trailer to create specialized drinks for customers. The drink items include espressos, coffee, cold brewed coffee and teas, to name a few. Foundation Coffee Co. represents other local roasters such as Buddy Brew, King State and Commune + Co., which are located in various parts of Florida.

“Those are the three local ones that we usually have regular at all times,” said Emily.

Along with that, Foundation Coffee Co. uses other roasting companies that are not from Florida, such as Novel Coffee Roasters from Dallas, Texas and ReAnimator from Philadelphia, Pa. These products are not found in other coffee shops in the area.

Emily wants residents to understand Foundation Coffee Co., “is run by a local family and we essentially just want to bring the community together. Coffee, community and outdoors all ties into what we are about,” said Emily.
