The Firehouse Cultural Center (FCC) in Ruskin is holding its Gala 2016 with a theme of Fire & Ice on Saturday, March 5 at a private home in MiraBay which is located in Apollo Beach. This is a spectacular and entertaining evening set in an elegant garden setting. Cocktail attire is the dress for the evening. Cocktails will be served from 5-7 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

The Firehouse Cultural Center’s Gala 2016 is honored to have Commissioner Sandra L. Murman as the Honorary Chair and Greg and Donna Rothfeldt as Chairs and Hosts for the evening.

Space for the event is limited, so RSVP as soon as possible. Tickets to the event are $175 for individuals, $300 for couples and $1,200 for a reserved table for eight. All proceeds from the gala benefit the Firehouse Cultural Center and their efforts to provide scholarships for families and children. This would include scholarships for summer camps, classes and workshops and other events held at the center year round.

Executive Director of the Firehouse Cultural Center Georgia Vahue said, “This is going to be a spectacular, relaxed evening. Last year’s event was a huge success with lots of surprises.”

In addition to cocktails and dinner, there will be entertainment and both a silent and live auction.

“I want everyone to know that the Firehouse Cultural Center is a visual and performing cultural center for everyone in south Hillsborough County and not just Ruskin,” Vahue said. “We offer technology, visual arts, live music programs and even a hydroponic garden. Some of the people who came to our first gala learned so much about the center and now are some of our best supporters.”
