Easter is on Sunday, March 27 this year. As Christians, this is a time for us to remember the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Here are several churches celebrating this holy day.

Bell Shoals Baptist Church

•Friday, March 25 – Good Friday Service & Communion: 12 Noon

•Sunday, March 27: 9 a.m., 11 a.m.
Join us in celebrating our risen Savior with a high energy, uplifting worship service featuring a 175-voice choir and orchestra, special guest Grammy-award winning guitarist, Dave Cleveland, and a powerful, life-changing message by Dr. Stephen Rummage entitled, “What if Christ had not Risen?” Following the Saturday night service there will be an Easter Egg Hunt for children 12 and under. Family Worship Center

There will be an Easter Egg Hunt for all ages on Easter Sunday right after the 10 a.m. service. The church meets at Spoto High School located at 8538 Eagle Palm Dr. in Riverview.

Centerpoint Church

FishHawk Fellowship

Saturday, March 19 from 10 a.m.-12;30 p.m. Journey Church will host its annual Eggapalooza Easter Fair. It will include a bounce house, face painting, games, and other activities with over 3,000 eggs.

Lighthouse Revival Center
Easter of Hope will take place on Saturday, March 19 at 11 a.m. Come for Riverview’s largest egg hunt, prizes, face painting, candy and much more.

Presbyterian Church of Bloomingdale

•Sunday, March 20 – Palm Sunday: 10:30 a.m. The children at Presbyterian Church of Bloomindale have been working to create a daily scene of what Jesus’ life was like. They will portray the Last Supper, the Mt. of Olives, the Temple, Mary and Martha’s home in Bethany, and the tomb. The final project will be available for all to experience on Palm Sunday.
•Thursday, March 24 – Maundy Thursday: 7 p.m.
Easter Egg Hunt will immediately follow the Palm  Sunday  Service. BYOB hunt – Bring Your Own Basket.
•Sunday, March 27 – Easter: 10:30 a.m.

Ruskin United Methodist Church

•Sunday, March 20 – Palm Sunday: 8 a.m., 10 a.m.
•Thursday, March 24 – Maundy Thursday, Communion Service: 6:30 p.m.
•Friday, March 25 – Good Friday: 12 Noon-3 p.m. The small Chapel will be open. Come spend some quality reflection time thinking about what Jesus did for us over 2,000 years ago here on earth. He died to save all of us.
•Sunday, March 27 – Easter – Celebrating the Resurrection Worship Services: 8 a.m., 10 a.m. Join us as the Cantata Choir lift up their voices in praise to our Lord at both of our worship services. Easter Egg Hunt at 9 a.m.

St. Andrew’s United Methodist

Sunday, March 20 from 2-4 p.m. join St. Andrew’s United Methodist for its Easter Egg Hunt. It will start off in the sanctuary for kids worship and then move throughout the campus to various hunt locations designated by age.The church is located at 3315 Bryan Rd. in Brandon.

•Saturday, March 26 – Easter Vigil Mass: 8 p.m.
•Sunday, March 27 – Easter Sunrise Mass: 6 a.m. at the Boyette Campus (10424 St. Stephen Cir. in Riverview).
Sunday, March 27 – Mass: 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. in both church (5049 Bell Shoals Rd.) and tent at the Boyette Campus, 5:30 p.m. Mass in church only. Call 689-4900.

New Hope United Methodist Church

  • Palm Sunday, March 20th – special music at 9:30 and 11:00am
    with our regular service at 8:00am.
  • Holy Thursday, March 24th – special service with Communion will begin at
    7:00pm.
  • Saturday, March 26th – Easter EGGStravaganza is a FREE event for
    the whole family featuring crafts, games and Easter Egg hunts. Begins at
    11am.
  • Easter Sunrise Service, led by the Emmaus Community, at Camp Rotary
    Florida from 6:45 – 7:30am. Easter Morning Services are at 8, 9:30 & 11 a.m. on March 27th. With a Hispanic Service at 11 a.m. in Logan Hall.

New Hope United Methodist Church is located one block north of S.R. 60
(Brandon Blvd.), at 121 North Knights Avenue, between Kings and Parsons.
