This wonderfully authentic, family owned and operated restaurant located at 3830 Sun City Center Boulevard will have you dancing in your lederhosen.

Owner Manuela Tscheu, originally from Berlin, Germany came to the states in 2005 with the dream of recreating a piece of home.

In 2006, she established Old Castle Restaurant, fashioned after the original “Burg Schanke” in Berlin.

She later met and married her husband Stuart Stubbins, a native of Frankfurt, Germany. Together this outgoing and ambitious duo has created a dining experience you will not soon forget.

Open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, the family prides themselves on homemade German recipes, made in house, the bread dumplings, sauerkraut, schnitzel, bratwurst, and warm apple strudel are sure to satisfy.

Among the many crowd pleasers, a favorite is “Hunter’s Schnitzel” made from your choice of meat, homemade spatzel and creamy mushroom sauce.

They have seasonal menu items and specials as well as a great selection of German beers and homemade sangria.

There is live traditional German music every Tuesday and Saturday in the off season, and when the season starts after the first weekend in October, they host an additional night of entertainment.

“People come from near and far to get the best German food this side of the Atlantic,” said Stuart.

This old world style German restaurant will afford you an evening of good food and entertainment.

Reservations are accepted and customer feedback is always welcomed.

Old Castle Restaurant also caters and will accommodate private parties.
