Children’s Gala Raises $4,000

More than 350 kids and parents came to MOSI in early May for a different kind of gala. They ate dessert first and showed off the piggy banks they decorated to raise money and help other kids just like them. The MOSI Children’s Gala presented by PNC Bank is part of MOSI’s Give Change to Make Change campaign. PNC Bank provided thousands of piggy banks that kids adopted, decorated, and named, including Albert Ein-swine and Piggy deGrasse Tyson. All of the proceeds from the piggy banks go toward providing scholarships for under-served kids to attend MOSI’s Science Camps. This year’s total reached $4,007.06.
