Busciglio Smiles Awards Scholarships

Each year Busciglio Smiles has given $500 scholarships to students from surrounding schools. The applying students must have an outstanding GPA, a letter of recommendation from an advisor and write an essay. This year the topic was “student athletes, can they really have it all?” The winners of this year’s scholarships were David Wylie from Strawberry Crest and Emily Harrell From Newsome High School. Wylie will be attending the University of South Florida in the fall majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Harrell will be attending the University of Florida in the fall majoring in communications.

Tutoring Club Awards Annual Jacob Fowler Scholarships

Kayla Gibbons and Rebecca Ross were awarded $500 each as this year’s winners of Tutoring Club’s Jacob Fowler Memorial Scholarship. The scholarships have been awarded each of the last five years in memory of Jacob Fowler. He was a former instructor who passed away at a church camp from Bell Shoals Baptist Church.
