Sometimes walking into a doctor’s office draws us back to the days when we were children, apprehensively awaiting the next vaccination. As adults, we know more of what to expect, but healthcare can seem complex and daunting nonetheless. This is not the case at Hightower Dermatology, whose passionate commitment to quality care is evident the moment their friendly staff greets patients at the door.

Their mission is also unmistakable when clients meet with Nurse Practitioner Donna Moody, the newest member of Dr. Kortney D. Hightower’s team. In Sun City for a little over a year, Moody widens the array of dermatology and skincare services the practice offers. Already an expert in general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and Mohs surgery, the single most effective technique for removing cancerous tissue, Dr. Hightower joined with Moody who brings her extensive experience in cosmetic dermatology.

After raising a family, Moody returned to school at the University of South Florida where she found her interests piqued by dermatology, especially as it relates to dealing with oncology, and practiced for just over 10 years in the Brandon area. Perhaps just as important as knowing you’re in competent hands is the feeling of warmth you get when you listen to Moody speak.

“I was born and raised in Florida,” she shares. “I know how the harsh sun can be overwhelming. Every age, though, is really beautiful. Sometimes we all need a little pick-me-up.”

She is committed to educating and treating all of her patients as individuals, so she can help them reach their goals of health and happiness. Her medical assistant, Lindsey Daniels, attests to her patience.

“Donna is the best. She looks at everybody individually and takes her time, so they feel listened to. She’s really focused on personalized care,” Daniels said.

Whether one is looking for preventative care or has a few problem areas, Moody invites the community to consult with her for their skincare needs and prides herself on helping others achieve subtle, natural looks. She is well versed in Botox and Dysport, a newer and often less expensive way to combat fine lines and wrinkles.

The practice accepts most major insurances as well as Care Credit.
