The inaugural SouthShore Christmas Banquet will be held on Thursday, December 1 from 6:30-9 p.m at the SouthShore Falls Clubhouse (a Del Webb Community) located at 5831 Cascade Falls Lane in Apollo Beach.

Cocktail hour will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. A program will follow.

The cost is $25 per person. A table for eight costs $180 and includes a delicious catered dinner, holiday cheer cash bar, live holiday Jazz music by Gary Tatlock on the piano and a special guest speaker.

While you are enjoying the evening’s entertainment, you can also get some of your holiday gift shopping done at the silent auction. There will be something for everyone on your shopping list.

The Banquet will benefit AMIkids Y.E.S. in Wimauma. All of the proceeds will go to the organization.

Since 1994 AMIkids Y.E.S. has been dedicated to helping kids discover the potential within them, transform their lives and strengthen the community. AMIkids Y.E.S. empowers kids through care and guidance to reach their potential and as a result, it breaks the cycle of failure and poverty.

Melanie D. Rimes, Executive Director of the SouthShore Chamber of Commerce is also a Board Member for AMIkids Y.E.S. and serves as Community Outreach Liason. She said, “This event is really just to start getting more of our community residents and business owners familiar with this great program which is right in our own back yard. This program changes lives daily and they can always use the assistance of the community, whether it be through mentoring, monetary and/or specific donations or just time… there are so many ways to help. We hope to bring people together to learn about AMIkids Y.E.S. and become supporters of the program.”

By supporting this Banquet, you can help change the lives of our community’s kids and impact generations to come while enjoying a great evening celebrating the season.
