Love Light for Life (LL4L), a local 501(c)(3) non-profit, received support from a superstar within its first year of being established.

For the president of the organization, Kirsten Burris, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get to know Tony Award and Emmy Award winning star, Kristin Chenoweth. She could not resist sharing her non-profit’s mission with the celebrity when they recently met at Ruth Eckerd Hall after Chenoweth’s concert.

According to Burris, “Our mission is to make the world a better place by uniting positive, like-minded individuals to spread love, compassion, understanding, tolerance and respect to all of humanity/animals worldwide through service projects, charitable events, community support, random acts of kindness and more.”

This is exactly the type of organization that Chenoweth likes to represent. Burris works for HSN and was invited for a company cocktail party after her recent performance at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Chenoweth learned about LL4L, loved the concept and wanted to help support it. An event celebrating LL4L’s first anniversary will take place at the World of Beer Brandon on Sunday, June 25 from 3-6 p.m. All are invited to come out and celebrate and learn about the non-profit. There will be raffles and silent auctions at the event and Chenoweth’s donations, including an autographed copy of her book, A Little Bit Wicked, and an autographed album, The Art of Elegance, will be available.

Along with Chenoweth’s donations, other items will include a Tampa Bay Buccaneers Autographed NFL Football – #54 Lavonte David, a Tampa Bay Lightning Autographed NHL Hockey Puck – #27 Jonathan Drouin and Autographed Hat – #23 J.T. Brown, a Tampa Bay Rays Family Package, a MisFit fitness tracker, Too Faced makeup, Juicy Couture perfume, Kendra Scott jewelry and more.

Raffle tickets will be available for $5 each or five tickets for $20. A bracelet designed by Isle Coast will be available with 20% of proceeds going to LL4L. Supporters can use cash or card at the event for purchases or donations.

Burris said, “The event will be a fun celebration with friends, family and supporters to eat, drink, mingle and raise money for the organization. Please come join the celebration to show your support and to “Light Up Life with Love.”
