The Florida Division of Forestry, in cooperation with the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department will be conducting a prescribed burn today, Friday, January 7 at Alafia River Nature Preserve, 931 Old Welcome Rd., Lithia.

The burn will last one day. The purpose of the burn is for public safety after wildfire on-site.
