Glen Lansky is the kind of guy who coaches a youth travel baseball team; the kind of guy who has been a board member and manager at Bloomingdale Little League for 13 years, where he also serves as a volunteer umpire. But he’s also the kind of guy you want on your side during litigation. He has been a lawyer since 1993. He was an Assistant State Attorney in the 10th Judicial Circuit from 1994-1996.

Previously, Lansky had been a partner at Lansky and Courtney, which had been in business since 1999 and prior to that, he worked at Griffin and Associates with Eileen Griffin from 1996-1999.

And now, he is starting his own law firm, Lansky Law Group. “Lansky Law Group will continue to offer the same first-class service that Lansky and Courtney has delivered since 1999,” he said. “We pride ourselves on honest, professional legal services. Our clients receive the attention they deserve when retaining a lawyer.”

Also joining Lansky Law Group is Attorney Shara Lawson, a longtime area resident who has experience in the areas of bankruptcy, foreclosure and civil and commercial litigation. In addition to these areas, Lansky Law Group practices in all area of Marital and Family Law, Criminal and traffic cases and personal injury.

Lansky attended the University of Michigan and graduated in 1990 with a B.A. in Psychology. He then went on to attend the University of Florida Law School and graduated with his JD in 1993.

He has been married to his wife, Jill, for 21 years and the two live in FishHawk with their three children, Jordan, 17, Kyle, 14, and Noah, 10. In addition to his work on the baseball field, Lansky has said that his law group will continue as an active contributor to local high schools and booster clubs as well as other charitable organizations.

He will also host free marital and family law seminars the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. starting this month at his office.

Lansky Law Frim is located at 137 S. Parsons Ave. in Brandon at the former TECO building.
