The New Island-Inspired Casual Dining Restaurant Marks the Second Location in West Florida

BRANDON, Fla.  – October 1, 2012 – Bahama Breeze Island Grille — the casual dining restaurant that gives guests the feeling of a Caribbean escape — celebrates the grand opening of its Brandon location in west Florida this week. This new restaurant, which will create approximately 200 new jobs in the area, is located at the Westfield Brandon Mall at 805 Brandon Town Center Drive.

“We are excited to bring Bahama Breeze to Brandon and the residents of west Florida,” said Bahama Breeze President Brian Foye. “At Bahama Breeze, our mission is to provide an unforgettable island escape for our guests by offering fresh and delicious foods and tropical drinks in a warm and vibrant atmosphere.”

The Brandon location is open daily for lunch and dinner with regular happy hours Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 p.m., and late-night happy hours Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to close. The restaurant also offers call-ahead seating, which allows guests to add their names to the wait list in advance, and enjoy special prices on drinks and food while they wait.

Bahama Breeze is known for its handcrafted tropical drinks and features an extensive bar menu with a variety of mojitos, margaritas, martinis and tropical cocktails, as well as a diverse beer list that includes Aruba Red, a microbrew made especially for Bahama Breeze.  The restaurant recently launched its new premium list of tropical drinks, “Legendary Island Cocktails,” which includes 10 authentic, custom-made drinks sourced from world-famous locales.  These signature cocktails are created with the same techniques and ingredients that made them famous.

“Our restaurant is designed to create an atmosphere of casual relaxation and fun, like you’d find in the islands,” said Craig Beckinger, the new restaurant’s general manager. “Our guests can also take advantage of the great Florida climate year round and experience our live Caribbean music on the outdoor deck, while enjoying our friendly service, delicious food and handcrafted tropical drinks.”

Known for its fresh seafood, wood-grilled chicken and flame-grilled steaks made with island inspiration, Bahama Breeze features guest favorites including a variety of housemade burgers, Jerk Chicken Pasta, Coconut Shrimp, Fresh Pan-Seared Salmon Pasta and Baby Back Ribs.  The restaurant also has daily fresh fish offerings and a wide selection of shareable appetizers such as Firecracker Shrimp and Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sliders. The Bahama Breeze “snacks and small plates” menu offers outstanding value and variety, including Chicken Empanadas, Mojo Marinated Pork with Sweet Plantains and Sweet Peruvian Corn Cakes.

Bahama Breeze cultivates a warm, island-like atmosphere featuring vibrant colors, high ceilings and lush landscaping.  The space can accommodate small and large parties in intimate and group settings, has a spacious bar and an outdoor deck with comfortable seating and large HD flat-screen TVs that guests can enjoy during warmer months.

Bahama Breeze has one additional location in west Florida in Tampa. The Brandon location will be the 11th location in the state of Florida with five existing restaurants in Central Florida, and an additional five restaurants in Miami, Ft. Myers, Pembroke Pines, Sunrise and Jacksonville.
