It’s hard for some of us to imagine a church so great that even our children jump out of bed to attend, but that’s just the response that Access Church of Lakeland gets.

Lead Pastor Jason Burns said “We want you to love church. We created the kind of church I wanted to attend growing up.” Besides being super kid-friendly, Access offers passionate worship services and engaging messages that can be applied to everyday life.

Access is gearing up for the grand opening of its Brandon campus on Sunday, January 13 at 10:30 a.m. in the Bloomingdale High School auditorium. Access has been holding preview services in the auditorium to show the community what they are all about. The final preview service is Sunday, December 2 at 6 p.m. There is also a free “Grill & Chill” at Paul Sanders Park on Sunday, December 9 at 4 p.m.

“We exist to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ,” said Burns. “We want you to leave encouraged and inspired, but also with some practical knowledge.”

Access started as a college Bible study in Burns’ living room in 2007. Burns graduated from Southeastern University with a degree in pastoral ministry and a Masters degree in church leadership.

Four years later, more than 1,000 people call Access Church home and anywhere from 400 to 600 people can be seen on any given Sunday morning at the Lakeland campus.

Access offer four basic things: weekend worship services, four-week leadership development studies to help people discover their “sweet spots” in life, access groups and comm unity service.

“Access Groups”  build community with each other. Rather than the traditional ‘Sunday school,  Access encourages  small groups that branch from Sunday services.

Contemporary in style and music, Access Church may be the community that you need to learn about and grow in Jesus Christ.
