Fast and Fresh are the words the owners of the new The Seafood Dive restaurant in the former location of La Septima on N. Parsons Ave. in Brandon, hope you will remember.

Because although it is fast, it is fresh seafood and homemade sides and desserts being served in a fast-casual environment.

The Seafood Dive opened in March and Tom Kazbour, one of the owners, is happy to be finally open in Brandon.

“We’ve wanted to put in a seafood concept that would appeal to the general public that offers good quality food at an affordable price,” Kazbour said.

Kazbour chose the location because he and his family have been living in Brandon since 1984 and he liked that it was located close to Brandon Hospital, a major area employer.

The Kazbour family has one other location of The Seafood Dive which opened in Sun City Center in 2010. That location is a full-service concept.

In Brandon, the menu fits a fast-service concept and all of The Seafood Dive’s sauces, breads and desserts are homemade. The regular fries and sweet potato fries are also hand-cut at the restaurant as well.

“Everything is a family recipe,” Kazbour said. “We put them together and experimented with different ingredients to make them are own.”

The signature dish at The Seafood Dive, is a half pound of fish served blackened, fried or broiled with fries, hush puppies and cole slaw for $7.95.

It also offers family-style meals where you can choose between a seafood dinner and a pasta dinner. Both family-style meals will feed up to four people. Kid’s meals are also offered at the restaurant.

Kazbour has been in the restaurant business all his life and the Kazbour family owns Hungry Howie’s and Bubbaque’s restaurants in Brandon and surrounding area.

Kazbour is proud to open its own restaurant concept in the area and he wants people to come into his restaurant and have fun all while eating a great meal.

“My hope is that we will be able to do a good job for the community and serve some good, quality food at a reasonable price and do it well,” Kazbour said.
