Westfield Brandon is once again celebrating Independence Day with its annual Brandon Blast on Thursday, July 4, from 5-9 p.m. in the Restaurant Courtyard in front of The Cheesecake Factory and Bahama Breeze Island Grille. The event is sponsored by WQYK 99.9.
“Westfield is committed to being an active member of the communities we serve,” said Dawn Arvidson, marketing director at Westfield Brandon. “Brandon Blast is a wonderful opportunity to provide our shoppers with the only fireworks display in the Greater Brandon area and a place for our families to celebrate the holiday.”
The event, which originated in 2003, is expected to attract thousands of people to enjoy live bands, family entertainment, dining and the chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree. The event culminates with a fireworks show at 9 p.m. New this year are free interactive activities presented by area not-for-profit organizations. Other free attractions include the fireworks display and live music. A special Kid’s Zone will feature bouncy house fun and face painting for a nominal fee.
Attendees can register for a chance to win the $1,000 shopping spree by visiting The Restaurant Courtyard that day from 5-9 p.m. Complete details are available on the Westfield Facebook page at Facebook.com/ WestfieldBrandon.
Westfield Brandon’s collection of shops will be open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 and the restaurants and select department stores will remain open throughout the evening.
