Fishhawk Tavern is the newest neighborhood pub located at Park Square in Fishhawk Ranch. Owners Chris and Sharon King opened the doors in March, bringing seven years of experience in operating a bar.

The Kings are also the owners of another bar,  Lenny’s, in Seffner.  When they heard about the opportunity in Fishhawk, they decided to move forward and buy a second bar. “We have experience and we know what we’re doing. We thought we could have a nice venue for people,” says Chris King.

In its short time of being open, Fishhawk Tavern has already put together a wide variety of entertainment for the community throughout the week. The weekend kicks off with local bands on Friday night, followed by DJ Jersey spinning the tunes on Saturday nights.  There is even entertainment on Sundays with Open Mic Comedy Night, which allows customers to bring their own comedy talents to the stage. Tuesday night is trivia night and the tavern also features local singers throughout the week for additional entertainment options.

Entertainment is not the only thing the King’s want Fishhawk Tavern to be known for. “We offer an array of different beers on tap. We also have gluten-free beer and local IPA from Cigar City in Tampa,” Sharon King adds.  Happy hour is Monday -Friday from 3 – 7 p.m. and offers 2-for-1 drafts of Bud Lite, Miller Lite, Yuengling and Michelob Ultra, as well as 2-for-1 well drinks.  Stop in for weekly drink specials and shot specialsl.

Fishhawk Tavern seems to have put all the ingredients together to be a success.

“We wanted a residential bar where people didn’t have to drive out of the neighborhood. We’ve kept our prices competitive so you can stay local,” shares Chris King.

Fishhawk Tavern is located at 16144 Churchview Dr., in Lithia at the Park Square complex and opens at 3 p.m. daily.  For more information on weekly entertainment and specials, go to its Facebook page or call 685-7900.
