Newland Communities is offering a free concert series this summer called “Concerts for a Cause.” There will be a total of six concerts split between the communities of Waterset in Apollo Beach and FishHawk Ranch in Lithia. All concerts are free and open to the public.
This concert series will not only be fun and entertaining for all who attend, but they will help fill a serious need faced by many in our community, helping feed the one in six people in our area who face hunger or food insecurity. Each attendee is asked to donate a non-perishable food item.
Newland Communities is once again teaming up with Feeding America Tampa Bay to help area families who are in need. Last year, they collected nearly 2.25 tons of food that amounts to more than 3,600 meals. With your help, even more families in need can be helped this year. Lynda McMorrow, Marketing Manager for FishHawk Ranch and MiraBay by Newland Communities said, “This year we’ve combined efforts with FishHawk Ranch and Waterset, two of our communities in the area, hoping to collect over two tons of non-perishables, which will benefit Feeding America Tampa Bay.”
The concerts will feature some of the best bands in the Tampa Bay area.
At Waterset, the concert series will take place in The Landing located at 7012 Sail View Ln. in Apollo Beach. You can see Volcano Joe & The Hot Lava Band on Friday, June 7 from 7-10 p.m. On Thursday, July 4, come out and see Stormbringer from 6-9 p.m. On Friday, August 2 you can enjoy Disco Inferno from 7-10 p.m.
